Ric,
I forgot to add:
If the problem is the encoder not turning, you can remove the knob and spray
some Tri-Flow lubricant around the shaft and let it soak in.
Gently turn the knob back and forth and that will pull the lubricant into
the shaft sleeve.
I use Tri-Flow because it contains a penetrant with Teflon and does not gum
up like WD-40.
