Hart: If you want excellent audio, I would suggest that you acquire a good dynamic microphone such as the Shure 444D desk microphone. Even though they're an older mic, it's not too difficult to find them used at the flea markets or on line. You'll have excellent transmit audio without or with using the speech processor. I have used them for many years on a large variety of rigs and alway get excellent comments on my transmit audio. Years ago, I tried the Heil series of mics with louzy results. I hope that this doesn't offend the heil fans but that's been my findings. Cheers from Fern
