I am hoping that someone out in the Yaesu ether land will be able to help me with this parts question. So far I have been unable to get any info from Yaesu nor locate a substitute on the internet.
I need to replace the "buzzer" located on the control board of the FT 726 R. This "buzzer" provides the tone when changing mode et.al. The service manual simply calls the unit a "buzzer," but it appears to be a piezoelectric transducer. Part # is BZ 3001 (PZS 22A). It's driven by a MC 14001B which I think is providing a square wave pulse to trigger the tone. The case is plastic, round with 29 mm flanges for the chassis mount. The thickness is 5 mm. I did locate what looks like a good substitute at Koyoelectronics.com. Page 3 shows a model 1110. I've tried to email them but no reply.
I would suspect that later models must have used a similar device but Yaesu "didn't know"? Lots of help there.
Does anyone have a suggestion/source?
