Not familiar with that rig, but I have seen ones that do this when the
voltage drops to around 9 or 10, some sort of glitch in the "soft start"
power circuit, which is always running.  If your doesn't have the soft
start, but an actual switch, well odder yet, can't turn on what isn't
connected...
