Seems like most Yeasu rigs do. I'm not even sure if the manufacturer
intended for it to be removed.

I have the pair here and the RX is nice. The TX needs some work in the
finals that I haven't gotten around to doing. Look to see if it still has
6HF5 finals or perhaps was converted to use 6146. 6HF5s are getting a bit
harder to find at good prices, & there was a conversion written up in QST
years ago to use 6146. A bit lower power out, but 6146 was supposed to be a
sturdier as well as more linear tube. And at the time, lots easier to buy.
> What accessories were available with these?
I have an old Yeasu advertising pamphlet that includes the twins lineup,
but I think someone has already listed all the options. It shows only the
FL2100 amp, a Landliner phone patch unit, and the TX & RX. The RX had a
digital freq readout option or the standard analog dial. The RX can cover
6m & 2M with optional boards but the TX only goes up to 10M.
> Where can I find a manual?
I've seen the on Ebay sometimes, but they should probably be available from
some of the manual vendors; a google search should turn up several.
> Where can I find the interconnecting cables?
These are probably not easy to find but the manuals show how one is wired,
so someone could make one. The hardest part may be to find the correct
connectors (11 or 12 pin, I forget which), but they are available from
parts vendors, Ebay or surplus outlets. With the cable, the RX can serve as
a second VFO to the TX, or they can be slaved to operate off just one VFO
like a transceiver.
