They do drift a bit.
No doubt about it.  But they are easy and fun to use.
They will load all kinds of crazy stuff too.  If someone is looking for a 
Swan 250 I would suggest the Swan 250C ahead of the 250. The 250C has an S 
meter the 250 doesn't.
I have a very nice 6 meter boatanchor. It's a Clegg Thor 6 and it runs well. 
Worked Newfoundland on cw with a dipole last fall.  Just about feel thru the 
floor!
