[Yaesu] FT-950 and Microtunners

Hi All:

 

I bought the FT-950 and also the 160, 80/40 and 30/20 microtunners.

Awesome radio. 

I assume the microtunners are in essence pre-selectors. Probably will not
see their real value until propagation improves (assuming we ever have a
cycle 24 start!).

Does anyone have a source of technical information about the microtunners?
What they are, how they work, their operating characteristics?

The Yaesu documentation only provides assembly information and installation
instructions.

I'd like to get to know the nature of the "magic" inside the microtunners
black box!
