[Yaesu] CAT interface for FT-990

I've just changed to Logger32 after years with the DOS version of Turbolog
and it seems to be able to control two separate radios. This means I could
use my elderly FT-990 for digital modes. The Yaesu FIF-232C interface seems
almost unobtainable nowadays except for silly prices but there are modern
alternatives such as the CT-62 from ZLP Electronics in the UK. Does anyone
know whether these are functionally equivalent to the Yaesu box, and by
extension whether Logger32 works OK with the 990?
