[Yaesu] FT450 AT

I just bought a like new (only a few month old) FT450AT from an elderly ham. 
I haven't talked to him yet, but would like to get anyone's help before I 
call him and possibly send the rig back. It works flawlessly with the 
exception that there is no transmit on the 80 meter band. Every other band 
works just fine with 100 watts out, and 80 works great on receive, but there 
is no transmit in any mode according to the 20 watt scale on my station 
meter, and none showing on the radio itself. It is transmitting on some 
small level, for I can hear it on my TS930 receiver at an S5 level (the 930 
is hooked up to a longwire). I have done a master reset twice to no avail, 
and the RF power is set for 100 watts. Any ideas? Thanks in advance- Danny
