A pleasure indeed to read your message. I bought a FT-757GX/AT-757/HD-757
combo at the Gaithersburg hamfest in 1983. My first Yaesu, definitely not
my last, but I still have the rig and have used it thousands of hours.
Amazing. It still ranks high among my best radios. I only wish the
quality standards with newer radios would have gone up at the same rate as
the prices. So far, my new FT-857 is hanging in there, not too bad.
