Hello Gary

I have an original FT-757GX I inherited last September. I have had no 
problems with the Rig at all. The first thing to do is Download the 
Service Manual from the Fox Tango website in PDF format. Do you hear the 
relay click on when you press the power Button? That relay is on the PA 
board and powers up the radio. Make sure all the plugs are plugged into 
the PA board. The power switch plugs into the PA board Check the power 
switch for continually. The next thing to check is the 3 terminal 
regulators and check for poor solder connections. I hope that helps Gary
