Ahh ok, so its a quick access button for the priority channel.  That makes 
sense.  Thanks!

Any idea on the keypad entry?  It won't let me enter a frequency from the 
keypad, however the radio does send DTMF when in transmit so i know the 
keypad functions.  On the 2400 i used to own you could tap in a frequency 
from the mic.
