[Yaesu] FT-707 info

INFO regarding the FT-707 Fan>>>
My fan is continuosly running.......
My first FT-707 had a THERMISTOR which allowed me to run my transmitter until it reached a certain heat level and then the Thermistor took over and applied power to activate the fan to run to cool down the final section..
Can anyone anwer my question as to where this Thermistor is located in the unit so I can check this part whether this was bi-past
by the previous owner or was this a mod by the manufacturer for better operating???
Both units were of the later model with the WARC bands...
Please advise
