Hi Scott:
If it has an ac type capacitor for the motor start up as used in the Hy Gain rotators, it's likely time to replace it with a new one. It wouldn't hurt to replace it with one of higher capacity either. Cheers from Fern VE7GZ

Subject: [Yaesu] G-800S Frozen??
Came down to the shack today and the rotor won't turn either way, its been in the teens below zero so i'm betting that its just frozen up there. Odd as i never had any problems with it last winter, and i can't find much mention of others having issues with the G-800 series in the cold.
Anyone else have the same experience? Was hoping to spin around the 2m beam for some SSB today and can't get it to budge.
73,
Scott
