[Yaesu] ft-8900 need help with cross band function....

I have the 8900 and i have sort of a problem...and maybe you have an answer
to it. :)

When using crossband repeat after making my initial transmission and
unkeying I have to wait for the repeater carrier to totally drop before the
crossband will kick in again. Is there a way to turn this off?? It's really
annoying especially during nets and such everyone is so quick on the
microphone I can never get in through crossband. I would like to be able to
key up and it crossband as soon as I hear the courtesy tone.

I've read the manual and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for....

Any help would be great.
