[Yaesu] FT-1000D & Mk5

Hi,
My 1st post.  I am planning to run RTTY in C9 in NOV.  The rigs 
are there and I am here.  Can AFSK be ran using the 'PATCH' & 
'AFOUT' on the rear of the rig?  Will T & R require an isolation 
transformer between computer & radio?
