[Yaesu] FT-757GX driver output question

I have several Yaesu rigs plus an old Kenwood (TS-130S)  plus an old Icom
IC-740.  One of the Yaesu FT-980's lost the PA and so did the IC-740.
The drive to the PA in both instances was between 1 and 2 watts.

I would expect the FT-757 PA probab;y expects this same drive and so do most
transverters.  This is probably a good move as the Manufacturers are
dropping parts for older transceivers.  This includes the FT-1000, 1000D,
and early 1000MP plus the TS-940 which is still quite popular.  Fixing the
PA usually means finding a parts unit with the board or finding a repair
person who has the guts to do circuit board repairs.  Local repair hams W6XA
and N4DA in this area say lots of luck.
