I had exactly the same thing happen. The ham who shipped the 990 handled the details, but it took eight months to sort it out!
   
  I now have a real nice 990 for sale, because I have moved into an apartment in Orlando.
   
  I am going to hold onto it until the Orlando hamfest because I do not want to chance shipping it.
   
  When the entire deal was over getting my insurance claim, I ended up losing $100 on the price I paid for the radio, and of course the shipping and claims headaches.
