[Yaesu] Loss of RX in Mark V

There have been some recent posts concerning loss of RX in the FT 1000 family. I have a similiar problem that responds to the highly technical fix of a slap on top of the rig in a Yaesu Mark V. Seems like a poor solder joint. I know there have been posts describing this situation and possible fixes but as far as I can tell they describe the Field. The descriptions and photos such as on VA3CR web are not the same for the Mark V. For whatever reasons (you can probably fill in the blanks none of which are complimentary)  I have not been able to locate the Local unit and the circuit boards involved. Does anyone have specific instructions and/or pictures for isolating the board and location of the Vo's? Pictures are even better.
