[Yaesu] FT-1000D

Anyone have any experience with the blower in the FT-1000/FT-1000D stop 
working?  I was on the SS contest and suddenly the transmitter stopped 
working ... smelled HOT components and the rear top and back of the rig 
is hotter than heck.  Blower is not working so overheated the darn 
thing.
