Perhaps I should explain myself further...
I am reading from the QST articles that compare the two rigs. The
comparisons are close (closer than not) and there are many external factors
that can have a significant impact on even side by side comparisons. This
is why we have laboratories.
And again, I really do appreciate the report, but we should not, as
technicians and engineers, forget that the test can be misleading, if not
completed properly. Not that there was any bias, but even when we honestly
approach something like this, we can subconsciously overlook things or miss
important factors.
This is not a critique of the method used, nor a critique of the tester, but
simply an editorial comment about the methods we choose to conduct tests and
do comparisions.
Perhaps it would be better to say, "I like the 920, and here is why." If
you went to the Icom 746PRO thread, you would have someone there give a list
as to why the 746PRO is better, and so forth.
Oh... and ... No, I do not want more noise.
