[Yaesu] FT-50R

My old, and rarely used, FT-50R HT doesn't want to transmit on 2M any 
more. 440 seems OK.

My batteries are dead, so I can only test it with the wall wart, so 
perhaps it's just a case of too much current, but then, it DOES work 
on 440.

Is there a way to completely reset the microprocesor?  Or, maybe I'll 
just sell it as a basket case and buy something new. Prices have 
really come down in recent years.
