Does anyone know

I currently have a FT-50 that I use in full duplex mode to talk thru my 
FT-8500 in crossband mode (440 to 2m) to a local repeater. Its great when 
I'm out on the lake boating.

Question is can the VX7R be setup to do the same thing I did not see how to 
do it in the manual, I like the vx7r because its waterproof but I would 
consider a different HT if I can not use it while crossbanding.
