[Yaesu] VX3R and dual receive question

This is a new radio, right? I am also planning to purchase one. I read the
advertisement and it says, quote: Sub RX function Listen to your favorite
AM, or FM stereo broadcast station, and monitor the amateur band at the same
time. I did not interpret this as dual receive, but that the ham band will
interrupt the broadcast station so you can switch over if needed. I would
not expect to have the broadcast station playing at the same time. If I
wanted that, I would carry a walkman.

Subject: [Yaesu] VX3R and dual receive question

I am about ready to buy a VX3R but wanted to confirm one feature on it
first-it will do dual receive, correct? By dual receive I mean that I can
listen to the local FM broadcast band (which I do alot) and the local
repeater at the same time. It isn't the dual watch where it checks the
repeater freq every 5 seconds or so, where it interrupts the receive
audio-it is true dual receive, correct?
