[Yaesu] connecting FT1000D ot AL-1500

Well, now I want to connect my amp to the new rig. Connected to the 
amp is a cable, plugged into RELAY and ALC OUT. The RELAY side 
terminates in an 8-pin DIN plug (marked Pin 4 and 5 RY) which had 
previously been plugged into my old FT-990. The 8-pin DIN doesn't 
seem to be the same as the one in the 1000D, just to make it more 
interesting.

Foolish me thought it would be plug and play, but it isn't.

So, how do I connect my amp to the 1000D? The manual is silent on all 
amps but the FL7000.
