Funny thing -- I have yet to meet those "People" -- 99% of the hams I talk 
to complain that HTs are getting TOO small, with too many functions buried 
in too few buttons, the buttons too small, and the controls too close 
together.

I don't know who is doing the market research that leads to the recent crop 
of matchbook HTs that are the only ham rigs coming to market today, but 
someone somewhere is totally insane.  I just saw a review for a new HT that 
has a sixteen button keypad with full DTMF and the keypad is arranged 4x4 --  
but the layout is NOT the standard telephone keypad with ABCD down the right 
side, instead they put ABCD across the top and *0# down the right side under 
the D!
