Hello everyone,
    Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for information on the
charger for the VX-5R.  I received about a dozen responses with all the
information I needed.  I was able to find the correct connector for the
radio at Radio Shack (RS #274-1532).  I wired up the connector to my 12 VDC
distribution panel and the battery is charging as I write this.  Thank you
to all those that sent information.
