Greetings Adam,
     I have a quadra. I have it set up with a 9000d
and a 1000d. I hooked the 9kd to the standard jacks
out to the quadra jacks in. No Problem. I purchased
from Yaesu the 15 pin sub-d and the goofy propritary 8
pin din for the back of the 1kd. Everything works
smooth as silk and the bands tracks great with both
rigs. On off slave functions are fine also. Yaseu in
its infinite wisdom made only one set of the 9 and 11
pins for ptt control on the exciters. The only quirky
thing I have found is that the 1kd must be turned on
first. If you turn the 9kd on first, it comes on in
the "safe mode".
Here is the question. No one at Yaesu has the answer.

I have only used this configuration in the receive
mode. If I transmit will anything "splode" Will I let
the smoke out of the components. I do not want to turn
$17,000 in equipment into a "door stop"
Thanks in advance. Best 73 Paul w8jn
