Hi Marty,

The FT-2000 power-output scale is average-reading. An external peak-reading
power meter is required for accurate PEP measurement.

You will find that the FT-2000 is a voyage of discovery...

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [Yaesu] FT2000

Hello all,

I just received my new FT2000 and am currious as to a few things. One, when
using a dead carrier from rtty, I get 95 watts, but when I go to ssb, the
meter deflects only about 50-60 watts...is this normal ? My ICOM 756 PRO III
deflects about 80-90 watts on ssb. Other than that, I like the versatility
of this tranciever. Can anyone help me ? Thanks, and 73's.

Kind regards,
Marty, W3QK
