This is typical behavior for a MailMan list sendiong to an account
with effective filtering at SMTP transaction time: the filter rejects
two or three pieces of mail because the mail matches one or more
filtering rules, and MailMan (being stupid about these things) decides
that the account has been deactivated or the mailserver is dead or
something of the sort.
A slightly-smarter implementation would look at the numeric part of
the rejection reason and note that it was the _message_, not the
connection, that was being rejected. *sigh*
This happens to me, on one of the MailMan lists I'm an administrator
for, about once a week, and I find it intensely frustrating.
I'm in Stockholm this week, Visby (Gotland) next week, and Stockholm
again week after that, leaving for the States on 22 August.
