[Yaesu] FT-980 CPU

I turned on one of my FT-980's and it looks like the CPU
is out.  Most of the aux. functions work but instead of the CPU running all
I hear is the PLL.

Is there a battery that backs up the CPU?  I have had three
FT-980's and none has ever had this problem.  There is a BATT shown on the
CPU board block diagram but none is listed in the master parts list of the
Technical Supplement.

There are two AA batterries that back up the memories.
