[Yaesu] Yaesu support of FT100D

John,
When they told me last year that the last of the VHF/UHF output
transistors sold for $240 and was no longer available at ANY price from
them or anyone else, I figured that they had stopped support for the radio
though they didn't say that exactly. I asked the guy if they had any plans
to source the transistor from some where else and he said no. He told me
that Yaesu had Motorola build the transistor for them initially and now
that Yaesu had run out of stock we were just SOL. It's not a normal Moto
part so they don't stock it either. That's when I decided to sell my
functioning FT-100 BEFORE it crapped out. I liked the radio but I won't
buy another since one of the main parts for it is no longer available.
