[Yaesu] Best $600 contest rig

A couple of years ago my first CW contest from this location was run 
with a '301D. K7AO came up with his 600-watts about 3 miles from my 
location and I was done on that band (40M in this case)...the amount of 
garbage generated in the receiver made it impossible to continue. Based 
on later operations with other gear I know it was a problem in the '301 
and nothing originating from Ken's station.
