Here's the reply that I sent to John:

I had the INRAD 2nd and 3rd IF filter on CW and the performance was *awesome*, especially when you used all the IF shifts and passband narrowing controls that come as a normal part of the radio.

I've heard some serious contesters call the '930 one of the best of the
older transceivers. My experience certainly echoes that notion,
especially with effective filters. And now INRAD has offered a roofing
filter for the '930!
