  Yep, first thing I did when I got it.  It was used so I reset it to clear
  everything out and put it back to stock.

    I also have programming software for my VX-7R and that works fine. 
Using
  a
    real serial port not an adapter, cable correctly connected, etc.

    Just randomly times out at different percentages.  Oh well, at least the
  150
    isn't that hard to program by hand.
