[Yaesu] CT-44 & OPC-782 Adapter & Headsets Same?

This site appears to say that the Yaesu CT-44 and ICOM OPC-782
headset-mic adapter that provides one 3.5 2-pin female and one
2.5 2-pin female to one 4-pin male connector are the same:

If one uses this adapter may one use Icom and Yaesu
headset-mics interchangeably?

I am hoping to find an affordable quality throat-mic/acoustic
earpiece for my little Icom Q7A.
