I think the INRAD 1.8 would be the way to go. Good shape factor and maximum
selectivity.

Subject: [Yaesu] FT-847 Filter Opinions Wanted..

I have been thinking about finally replacing the stock receive filter in my
personal FT-847, but i can't decide which to go with. I have played around
with another 847 that had a Collins filter in it and it really seemed to
help a lot during a good opening on 6m. Here are the choices i am
considering.

Collins Mechanical 2.0 Khz

Crystal Filter 2.1 Khz from Inrad

It has also been suggested that i consider the 1.8 Khz crystal filter from
Inrad as well. I realize that this comes down to ones personal taste but i
wanted opinions before i buy. Mostly i am concerned with performance on 6m,
2m, 70cm SSB. But i also occassionally listen around on HF as well.

What say you??

Scott, KBØNLY
