These are ham bands now? Shoot -- next thing you know there'll be a tube
that'll go to higher frequencies than a 6J6 ... and what about that 'solid
state' idea people keep talking about?

I may have misunderstood the question: I took it to mean 'few to no solid
state devices.' If you include the Yaesu rigs that used vacuum tubes only
for finals and driver stage, there are certainly other entries that I wouldn't
be able to comment on.

Maybe he does it just for those of us that read the list for months without
seeing the nomenclature of a single radio we've ever touched. Probably
when we'll get tired of the discussion, we'll quit ...
