As I have mentioned in other Lists, I went to his, er, house to pick up a
piece of gear a couple of years ago when I still lived in Central Ky.

He always states "from my personal collection". His 'shack' is a room about
6' X 10' with a ratty plywood operating table. He had about 4 radios in it.
His 'antenna farm' was a dipole about 15' above ground. He sold me a
Transverter for my 901DM.
(I have had a couple of the complete 901 stations in the past and lacked
only the Transverter to complete my most recent 901 station).

He 'guaranteed' it worked and supplied me with the WORST looking
interconnecting cable I have ever seen. No big deal, I could redo it. The3 radio was
well packed away for my impending move to Florida. I got the 901 unpacked about
a year later, and the cable didn't even go to the 901! Looked like a Swan
connector. Too late to leave feedback...... Did the Transverter work? Heck,
NO!!!! Dead as a rock!

As you are probably aware, he has an alias. Can't remember the name, and the
location is listed as Louisville, KY.
Since his high bidders are 'hidden', what do you want to bet he bids against
himself?

Here's an example: I was high bidder on a FRG-7 he had. There were 12
'other' bidders. I realized that the "MINT", "LIKE NEW" one he was selling, was the
early model without the fine tuning. I agreed to pay him $50 to NOT send me
the radio, since I was going to return it under his "guarantee"anyway, since I
would not have been happy with it.
Since the next higest bidder was $.99 less than me, you would have thought
he would have offered it to the other bidders. I have done this many times in
the past.
Nope, he relisted it.

I have known him since 1999. He has had other IDs. (Multicom2000, etc). Once
his feedback gets really bad, he just starts over. He has buddies back in
his home country of England, and they send each other radios all the time.

NEVER buy a radio from him listed as "New, in the box". Guaranteed to be a
return/refurb.
Seen them, been there.

Still, I cannot figure out where he keeps coming up with all the Collins
equipment! That has me puzzled.
