Hello. I recently bought a mint Frog and have  been having a blast with it. 
It still amazes me even when compared to other  radios in my collection. From a 
Collins 75A-4 to an Icom 756PRO.
I plan to do  the Kiwa filter and cap mods, as soon as I can scrape the $  
together.

Please see my review on eHam. As I stated, the addition of even  a cheap 
external speaker makes a world of difference in the functionality of the  radio.

Somewhere, I have seen a mod for the only thing I would like to  see 
improved: the fine tuning control. My radio seems to be very, very touchy  when trying 
to clarify SSB signals. Someone suggested putting an additional cap  in 
series with the fine tuning control. I cannot seem to locate that mod right  now. I 
have lots of caps but would like to get 'close' on the first try....
I  believe 5pf or so, in series with the fine tuning control will make it 
less  touchy (and cover less, freq wise).

Anybody remember  this?
