I was also at Wit's End with my old KAM; Kantronics helped me find a
dealer who still had a few Enhancement Boards, to upgrade the
hardware/firmware in one shot.

Then I found the docs at < http://www.mods.dk >; select [Kantronics],
then [Manuals] and you can (2-a-day, maybe before and after midnight in
Denmark) download the Installation, Operations, and Commands books.
Unzip the PDFs and print (I do odd pages, reload and put the evens on
the backs), and they still fill a looseleaf binder.

Oh-- and if, like many such devices, you have/get the broken
regulator-pins syndrome (the tab is screwed to the extruded case, and if
you only take off the back and yank on the board, ding!), take three
short - 1" or so - bits of stranded wire, strip and tin both ends, and
make 'service loops' to re-wire the pins to the PCB. That's how I got
my unit; traded a Tiny-232(sp?) for the broken KAM, and fixed it.

Enjoy your KAM!

All else aside, RF to the other fellow's antenna is what counts.
