[Yaesu] FT-990 SPOT PITCH OFF??

I was checking my CW PITCH on the 990 against my new Kenwood 2000 and noticed something odd..  I like a 600 Hz tone for cw and couldn't seem to match the tone against my ts-2000.  The manual on the 990, page 20, states ....for a 600Hz tone switch 4 should be ON and switch 5 should be OFF.  Using spectrogram and WWV I confirmed that config. gave me a 500Hz tone. I have to have switch 4 OFF and switch 5 ON to get a 600Hz tone.

Has anyone else noticed this???  is it a misprint in the manual??
