[Yaesu] FT-650 Narrow CW Filter Quandry

I just put an FT-650 on the air using a 6M Hentenna, and I like the radio
(and the amazing Hentenna) very much. However, I am encountering some
conflicting info on a CW filter for the FT-650. Hope some of you Yaesu
experts can clear this up.

The FT-650 book calls for XF-455M601-01 for a "narrow" CW filter. The only
one of these critters I've seen a closeup photo of had "CF 455.8" for the
center freq stamped on the filter body. This is supposed to be a 600 Hz
filter, I think.

However, I see listed other places some so-called "FT-102/FT-650" filters
that are XF-455M601 (no '-01' suffix) that have "CF 454.2" stamped on the
filter, and several XF455C types that look similar but have "CF-454.1"
stamped on the filter body. All of the above are physically similar
solder-in filters. I hate to demo my ignorance here, but it would appear to
me that filters with CF 454.x might not work in a CW offset circuit designed
for the upper side of a 455 IF freq, which it appears the FT-650 is if the
book calls for a 455.8 CF filter. Am I spitting upwind here?

Surely somewhere there is an accurate cross reference list of some type that
will show exactly which Yaesu filters will work in which Yaesu radios. Or at
least, exactly which filters will work in the FT-650. If so, I'd sure
appreciate a link to it. Anybody know of one?

BTW, already checked Inrad. Their web page doesn't even acknowledge the
FT-650 exists, which surprised me.

Thanks, Jerry W5KP
