It may be in the connector at the control box end.
This is a 6 pin "Jones" type. Try using a pair of
needle nose pliers and rotate the pins about 10 to 15
degrees and then plug it back in. This is an "old
trick" that was used on the tube type commercial FM
units that used the Jones plugs to correct problems
when the sockets started loosing tension.
