[Yaesu] fT-7800 series radio

Greetings All
I have recently purchased a FT-7800E. What a beaut radio! I have read on
the net about a software program and cable that enables the radio to be
programmed via a computer. What I want to know has any one built the
cable. This I would like to do to try and keep the cost down. Please
answer me direct.
