[Yaesu] 30 meters

Greetings All,

I have a FT-920, serial number 1N520066 that I would like to put on 60 
meters. I understand there is a MARS/CAP mod that opens up the rig for 
general coverage transmit and would enable me to use the transceiver on the 
new 60 meter frequencies.  The mod cuts a "green wire" on a pc board and 
then you enter a numerical code from the keypad. Has anyone successfully 
completed this mod? Did you have any problems? I certainly don't want to 
cause any problems and then have a big repair bill. I saw somewhere on the 
internet that Yaesu discouraged this particular mod.
