I still love my FT-890AT for a variety of reasons.  Mine has the 2.4
kHz SSB and 500 Hz CW filters in it.  It has become a mainstay at our
Field Day operations and I have received positive feedback from others
about how easy it is to use and how well it works.  I would say that it
is a very balanced radio.  It has a quiet receiver and a noise blanker
that actually works which was essential when I ran it mobile in my S-10
some years back.
