Hart,
I really didn't want to be the one to say this, but since no one else has, I
feel I must be the one.
The QST reviews are a member benefit of the ARRL. The ARRL provides quite a
bit to the amateur radio community free of charge, with hope that hams will
see the benefit of the organization, and want to be a part of, and support
it. The ARRL reviews are for ARRL members, just as QST is only sent to
members, and not placed on newsstands like other Amateur Radio magazines.
The material is copyrighted as well.
Granted, there are those who will have a reason why they don't want to
belong to the ARRL, and that is their choice. I may only use the
consumereports.org website a few times a year when I have to decide on
purchases, but I still pay an annual fee to have the access.
It may seem a bit much to have to join the ARRL just for a product review,
but I would encourage you to do so, if you feel the work of the ARRL
Technical department is important enough to you to have their review. Their
funding is largely dependent on member dues. The link is
http://www.arrl.org/join.html if you wish to do so. I realize you are in
Canada, but membership is still available to you, with full web access and a
yearly CD for the same price as a USA ham that gets monthly QST's. For
USD$10 more, you get monthly QST's as well!

Can anyone send me a QST review on the 1000D and 1000 field. No I'm not a
ARRL member so I can't get one. Please send it to me in PDF format.
Thanks Hart
