[Yaesu] transmit audio in speaker

I have an older FT-736R which still works fine -- but -- for the past several years I can hear the transmit audio in the speaker -- both the built in speaker and an external speaker.  I have tried it with the RF Concepts Amp off and can still hear it.  I think the fix will be pretty simple.  Before I dig in has anyone else had this problem and is there a standard fix?
