Hi Wim,
I suffered from the same problem until I fitted a Broadcast
Band filter which attenuates AM broadcast stations by anything
up to 70db.
Have a look at;
<http://www.arraysolutions.com/Products/ice/filtersrf.html#bcb>
They provide a couple of different filters.
The 402X which has a cut-off frequency of 1.8MHz, and the
400X which has a cut-off of 3,5MHzX. The "X" is for the
transmit versions, it is rated up to 300W. I placed mine between
the rig and my amp.
It really made a big difference, was a lot less trouble, and a
lot less expensive that replacing the band-pass diodes in the rig.
For $36 it is worth ever cent. You just need to decide which of
the two filters you need.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Sean.
